Elderberry Syrup Recipe:
3 cups Water
1 cup Dried Elderberries
1 Cinnamon Stick (optional)
1/2 teaspoon Powdered Ginger Root (optional)
1 whole Clove (optional)
1 cup Local Raw Honey (here's a good Raw Honey, but Local is best)
Place everything EXCEPT the Honey in a sauce pan, and bring to a boil.
Once it's boiling, reduce the heat down to low, and let simmer for an hour.
When it's done simmering, use a super fine strainer to squish the berries (make sure all the juice is strained).
Once drained, make sure it's not too hot, and add in the Honey, and mix together.
DO NOT HEAT THE HONEY - heating up the honey too much can strip nutrients out.
Store in a mason jar, and keep in the fridge.
